Urgent: Raise your voice to Congress
Sign the online petition Proclamation online now, support the EJA

Pass the Elder Justice Act Now

UPDATE November 2009 Nearly 2,200 people have sent the message to Congress to Pass the Elder Justice Act now. Have you been counted? The time is crucial to get the word out. Please, once again, prevail upon your friends and neighbors, colleagues and associates to Sign the petition online.

At the end of this week Jenefer Duane, CEO/Founder, Elder Financial Protection Network, will be personally taking the results of the online petition to the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. She is a strong supporter of the Elder Justice Act and we can help Speaker Pelosi get the message across by showing that people truly care about this issue. How? Signatures on the Petition. When people add their signature, they are speaking directly to Congress, and they will be heard.

Watch the powerful new video An Age for Justice; Elder Abuse in America, produced by the Elder Justice Now campaign. The video provides stark proof of the financial, emotional and other violence and abuse that an estimated five million elder Americans face every day.

    The Elder Justice Act:

    • Would provide federal resources to support State and community efforts on the front lines dedicated to fighting elder abuse with scarce resources and fragmented systems.
    • Would increase public-private infrastructure and resources to prevent, detect, treat, understand, intervene in and, where appropriate, prosecute elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
